If you are used to zipping up and down the M25 in your BMW, the narrow roads and winding lanes of the Costa Blanca will be a welcome change for you. The main motorway route A7 runs the entire length of the mediterranean coast from the French border right down to Alicante, so you won't get lost on the way here!

Once you come off the motorway however, the roads quickly become no more than country lanes, with sharp bends and uneven surfaces. Parking in the towns is virtually non existant as the urban planning departments have been overtaken by the influx of foreign residents and tourists. Most Spaniards drive small cars for the obvious reasons with the national motor company Seat being the most popular make. All the major motor manufacturers have showrooms and repair shops here, so if you must drive a Toyota Land Cruiser, you can.
